- The BioBiteCorrector® SP supports the forward movement of the lower jaw with an internal spring.
- The BioBiteCorrector® MS works as a passive-rigid appliance based on the Herbst hinge philosophy. This can always advance the lower jaw directly and precisely into the neutral toothing on both sides and therefore has no springs.
- BioBiteCorrector® versions MS (without spring) and SP (with spring) have a screw connector. These versions can be screwed to a square wire. Wire dimension possible for assembly ranges from .017 x .025 inch to .025 x .025 inch stainless steel wire.
- The BioBiteCorrector® is delivered completely pre-assembled. An assembly by the orthodontist from various individual parts is not necessary.
- The screw connectors of the BBC MS and SP guarantee quick and easy insertion of the appliance. The design does not allow sliding on multi-bracket archwires and therefore does not cause pressure on the adjacent brackets.
- No bands on the molars are necessary for incorporation into a multi-bracket appliance, as the BioBiteCorrector® is simply screwed on.
- BioBiteCorrector® versions MS and SP are always placed interproximal due to the screw connector. In the lower jaw, the screw connector between the canine and 1. Premolar and maxillary between 2. Premolar and 1st molar placed.

Orthodontic Applications
Orthodontic Applications
The BioBiteCorrector® (BBC) appliances are mainly used in orthodontics to correct an angle class II occlusion (bite position).
Using the BBC can avoid extraction of permanent teeth or even surgical correction of Class II malocclusions.
The fixed appliances:
The fixed appliances (see BBC-Herbst, BBC with multibracket appliance) are used in patients with a lack of cooperation, little residual growth and adults.
The screw connectors of the BBC MS and SP guarantee quick and easy insertion of the appliance. The design does not allow sliding on multi-bracket archwires and therefore does not cause pressure on the adjacent brackets.
The removable appliances:
In combination with removable braces, the BioBiteCorrector® becomes a modern functional orthodontic appliance (FKO device).
The BioBiteCorrector® Twin Appliance offers the best wearing comfort and speech comfort with very high therapeutic success.
Different treatment philosophy:
The BioBiteCorrector® hinges are available with and without internal springs.
The BioBiteCorrector® MS and SA versions (without spring) are closely based on the functional principle of an Herbst appliance. This passive-rigid appliance can always advance the lower jaw directly and precisely into the neutral teeth on both sides and therefore does not require compression springs.
The BioBiteCorrector® SP and FA versions (with spring) work according to the principle of progressive bite change. Thanks to their rigid parts, these appliances guarantee a protrusion of the lower jaw and the internal spring (240cN) ensures a further gentle advance.
